This product carries an optimal combination of two advanced forms of Vitamin C, one advanced form of kojic acid, and powerhouse antioxidants from rice bran to brighten, firm, and even out the complexion. The formula does not have a noticeable scent and does not contain fragrance.

- HOW DOES THIS SERUM WORK TO BRIGHTEN, FIRM, AND EVEN OUT MY SKIN? The Vitamin C Serum with Oryzanol combines ingredients with thousands of scientific studies attesting to their skincare benefits, including protecting the skin from free radicals and environmental stressors, promoting skin renewal, boosting skin’s elasticity, and targeting discoloration and sunspots caused by excessive melanin production.
- WHY USE STABILIZED VITAMIN C AND NOT CONVENTIONAL VITAMIN C? When conventional vitamin C is mixed with water, it immediately starts degrading and losing its skin benefits, giving your skincare product a yellow to orange tint. This is why other vitamin C serums have very high levels of conventional vitamin C - they need to make up for the vitamin loss. The stabilized forms of vitamin C we use will remain stable in the product when formulated at the ideal pH (around 7.0). Hence, our serum can deliver the expected skincare benefits with reasonable levels of stabilized vitamin C, which will restore to its pure vitamin C form once applied to the skin. Vitamin C is an antioxidant known to boost collagen production in skin cells and to reduce the excessive production of melanin, ultimately fighting premature signs of aging accelerated by sunlight exposure (dark spots, fine lines and wrinkles, uneven skin texture).
- WHY USE KOJIC ACID ESTER AND NOT KOJIC ACID? When conventional kojic acid is mixed with water, it becomes unstable over time and causes discoloration of your skincare product (similar to conventional vitamin C). The ester form stabilizes kojic acid, ensuring better efficacy over time. Also, kojic acid ester is more compatible with our skin, outperforming conventional kojic acid when it comes to delivering brighter, more even-toned skin.
- WHAT IS ORYZANOL AND HOW DOES IT WORK? Oryzanol is a powerful antioxidant extracted from rice bran oil, which provides emollience to the skin and protection from environmental stressors. It is composed of various forms of ferulic acid ester, but it is more compatible with our skin.
- WILL THIS SERUM IRRITATE MY SKIN? Our serum is formulated to work safely and gently on all skin types. However, because every skin is different, we always recommend doing a patch test, even if you don’t consider yourself to have sensitive skin.
- I SEE A LOT OF PRODUCTS WITH 10% TO 20% VITAMIN C. WHY DOES THIS ONLY HAVE 8%? WILL IT BE EFFECTIVE? Yes. More important than the amount of vitamin C in your product is the amount of vitamin C delivered to your skin. We use stabilized forms of vitamin C that have a very long shelf life and will not degrade as fast as pure Ascorbic Acid. Hence, we can formulate with a lower amount of vitamin C and still have an effective product.
- AT WHAT AGE CAN I START USING THE PRODUCT? This serum is safe for all adults when used per directions, but consumers 25+ years old will likely notice the most benefits.
- WILL THIS CAUSE PURGING? The formulation is not expected to cause purging. That said, skin purging is a unique experience for each skin type (and phenotype). It depends on your skin, the environment around you, and how your skin responds typically to Vitamin C or other ingredients in the formulation. If you have already used other Vitamin C products in the past, you may expect a similar level of purging, if any. Also, we always recommend you patch test first.
- HOW SHOULD I STORE VITAMIN C SERUM WITH ORYZANOL AFTER OPENING? It is best to store it at room temperature, away from sunlight, in the original container.
- HOW OFTEN CAN I USE THE VITAMIN C SERUM WITH OYZANOL? We recommend applying it twice daily, once in the morning and once at night.
- SHOULD I LAYER THE VITAMIN C SERUM WITH ORYZANOL UNDER A MOISTURIZER? It’s up to you. If your skin is oily, you may not need another moisturizer. Those with dry skin may prefer to apply a moisturizer over it.
- HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE UNTIL I NOTICE THE RESULTS? It depends on each person, but noticeable results may occur after a few weeks of consistent use.
- HOW LONG DOES THE PRODUCT LAST AFTER OPENING? Vitamin C Serum with Oryzanol can last up to 12 months after opening.
- I'M PREGNANT OR BREASTFEEDING. IS THE VITAMIN C SERUM WITH ORYZANOL SAFE FOR ME? This product is considered safe for use while pregnant or breastfeeding, but it’s always best to check with your healthcare provider first.
