The Inkey List 1% Retinol Serum 30ml

• Only use in your PM skincare routine.
• To reduce the chance of irritation and build up your tolerance to a higher percentage of Retinol formula, we recommend using this product every 5-7 days and gradually increasing to 2-3 days.
• After cleansing and hydrating with Hyaluronic Acid Serum, apply a pea-sized amount of Scar Mark and Wrinkle Solution with 1% Retinol and massage into to the face and neck.
• Follow with your preferred moisturizer.
• As this product can cause sun sensitivity, apply a broad spectrum sunscreen as the last step in your AM routine.
• If irritation or sensitivity occurs, reduce down your usage, and apply Scar, Mark & Wrinkle Solution with 1% Retinol over your moisturizer to help soften its delivery on the skin.
• We don't recommend using this product with other products containing Benzoyl Peroxide, BHAs or AHAs. 
• If you have more sensitive skin, use Niacinamide Serum before using Scar, Mark and Wrinkle Solution with 1% Retinol to help decrease irritation.

Products using Retinol can take up to 6 weeks to show results due to the time it takes for your skin cells to turnover. Consistency is key, so apply regularly even if you are not seeing the effects straight away! Please note that it can take up to 3 months of consistent use for more persistent skin concerns.

CAN THIS BE USED IN THE AM & PM?           

Our Scar, Mark and Wrinkle Solution with 1% Retinol should be used in the PM only.

CAN I USE THIS LONG TERM?            

For best results, we recommend to use this product for a minimum of 3 months. Once you have seen an improvement in the appearance of your skin, you can reduce application to maintain results. 

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I USE SCAR, MARK AND WRINKLE SOLUTION WITH 1% RETINOL? 

For best results, we recommend using Scar, Mark and Wrinkle Solution with 1% Retinol up to 2-3 times a week. Start using once every 5-7 days and gradually increase use to 2-3 times weekly, consistently. 

WHY CAN'T I USE RETINOL IN THE MORNING?         

Retinoids will increase the skin's sensitivity to sun exposure. It is important to ensure you are using SPF in your morning routine, daily, if you are using Scar, Mark and Wrinkle Solution with 1% Retinol or any other retinoid.  

SHOULD I FOLLOW WITH A MOISTURIZER?  

Yes. This formulation includes 1% Retinol. Nourishing the skin with a moisturizer suitable for your skin type will add protection to the skin barrier.

IS IT SUITABLE FOR SENSITIVE SKIN?          

We do not recommend this product if you have sensitive skin or have never used Retinol before. We recommend starting with our Retinol Serum instead.

WHAT CAN I LAYER WITH THIS PRODUCT?  

Scar, Mark and Wrinkle Solution with 1% Retinol will pair nicely with our Hyaluronic Acid Serum and a moisturizer suitable for your skin type. It is not recommended to use Retinol and AHAs (Glycolic Acid, Mandelic Acid, Apple Cider Vinegar), BHAs (Beta Hydroxy Acid or C-50 Blemish Acid Treatment) or PHA Toner at the same time as this can lead over exfoliation and sensitized skin, so alternate and use on different nights. Avoid mixing Vitamin C products at the same time (Use Vitamin C AM and Retinol PM).

CAN I USE THIS WITH REDNESS RELIEF SOLUTION WITH 10% AZEALIC ACID?

Yes, however we suggest using Redness Relief Solution with 10% Azealic Acid in your AM routine and Scar, Mark and Wrinkle Solution with 1% Retinol in your PM routine. 

WHEN SHOULD I START USING 1% RETINOL?          

If you have sensitive skin or have never used Retinol before, we recommend starting with our Retinol Serum instead. Our Scar, Mark and Wrinkle Solution with 1% Retinol has been formulated for people who have marks in the form of post-acne scars, dark discoloration or deep wrinkles which give the appearance of uneven texture and tone. This product should only be used if you are experiencing these concerns and have previously used a Retinol product.

I HAVE ACNE, CAN I STILL USE THIS?           

Scar, Mark and Wrinkle Solution with 1% Retinol can be used if you do have acne, however this has not been formulated to target acne concerns. We recommend using Scar, Mark & Wrinkle Solution with 1% Retinol once signs of acne/blemishes have cleared, to effectively target post-blemish marks. 

I AM NOTICING SKIN PURGING WHEN I USE THIS, HOW LONG WILL THIS LAST?   

It is normal to experience purging and even dryness when using a higher strength Retinol. Purging can take up to 3 months, although it can slow down after 4-6 weeks. We recommend keeping with your skincare routine, using your products consistently. Keep your skin hydrated with a serum like our Hyaluronic Acid and nourished with a moisturizer suitable for your skin type.
